new maul album >album title goes here< announced

The mau5 may not be happy, but he is putting out some new(isn)tunes soon. The canadian electronic music producer will be putting out a new album September 25, 2012.

He just recently reconstructed his home studio (pics on his Facebook & blog) so he probably used the newly constructed space to polish up some stuff he’s been working on for a while.

The new 13 track album will feature an already released track, Failbait (featuring Cypress Hill), and Professional Griefers (featuring Gerard Way), out this week.

Exciting to hear the full quality .wav versions off beatport once this drops!

Cthulu Sleeps fan cover

I’m a pretty big fan of cover songs given the fact that I just released a cover song of This Is Our Night on my own record label. Here is a cover of the deadmau5 song Cthulu Sleeps. Pretty quality work if you ask me!

New deadmau5 album

Today the new deadmau5 album drops in the UK, tomorrow here in the new world. I can help but wish I could get it today, I’m surprised Beatport doesn’t offer a pre order service for their music downloads. Pre-sales for this mau5 album would no doubt be huge.

I bet since its a download company they figured nobody would buy a pre order download, but I sure would!

Music Mondays: The Techno Police are Coming to Lay a Beat Down!

You best be in line, because in this short (less than one minute) video the Techno Police are laying down the law. Although I’m having some hard times picking a better song than last week’s unreleased gem “Cthulu Sleeps by deadmau5.”

Music Mondays: Cthulhu Sleeps – deadmau5

This is a high quality, clear sounding version that was recorded from a uStream DJ session I believe.

Really nice part around 3:20, then it gets even dirtier for the second half!

New deadmau5 track/s? Raise Your Weapon with dubstep ending, Awesome!

This starts slow and could have been weak . . . Then it picks up and gets awesome.

By the time the dubstep drops your mind is fully engaged, thats all I’ll say!

A City in Florida – deadmau5 – download – (originally Orlando Voorn remix)

Deadmau5 live at Coachella 2008.

Finally the bonus track has been released!

This song was included for free when you purchase a ticket to one of deadmau5′s upcoming live shows; as if having tickets to see deadmau5 wasn’t awesome enough! Now you also get A City In Florida (Orlando) which first hit my ears at the end if 2009 as a remix to Orlando Voorn’s Paco Di Bango’s World.

Too bad that Orlando guy had a hissy fit and couldn’t get this track licensed, its going to be a banger now!

Watch “A City In Florida” by deadmau5 on YouTube here:

Download “A City In Florida” by deadmau5 here.

This is basically the same track as the remix but with the vocal cut out. Thankfully. It leaves behind the only good part of the “remix,” the deadmau5 part.

YOU WANT SOMETHING TO BANG YOUR HEAD ON?! HOW ABOUT SOMETHING LIKE THIS!

Check the original remix deadmau5 made here:

Deadmau5 remix of Pendulum’s Watercolour

Fantastic track, a really solid bass line, but I’m not sure if its water color or water colour . . . he is Canadian so I guess watercolour makes sense . . . we shall see.

Music Mondays – Tommy Lee joins Deadmau5 @ Ultra Music 2010

Edited by Alex Massaad from sources at MTV (who cannot write good copy to save their life)

No one was prepared for Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee to take the stage with Canadian sensation Deadmau5 to close out the night. The two began the set with a treat fans have come to love WMC for, the debut of a brand-new song (so new that it’s still untitled!). Lee departed after this initial song, and the ‘Mau5 launched into an hour and 40 minutes of hits, including his own mix of Rage Against the Machine, “Strobe” and his biggest fan favorite “Ghosts ‘N Stuff” (featuring Rob Swire). Deadmau5 had the crowd in a fit of laughter when he killed the music and emitted the death sound effect from “Super Mario Brothers.” Game over!
